Mercury spill kit – Lab & Healthcare

The single-use pouch of the mercury spill kit is specifically designed for efficiently cleaning up small mercury spills in various settings such as hospitals, laboratories, schools, workshops, warehouses, factories, and chemical plants.

The single-use pouch of the mercury spill kit is specifically designed for effectively cleaning up small mercury spills in a wide range of environments, including hospitals, laboratories, schools, workshops, warehouses, factories, and chemical plants where mercury is stored, handled, and may potentially be spilled.

Mercury, a heavy silvery-white metal that remains in liquid form at normal temperatures, poses a risk as it can vaporize at room temperature, increasing the potential for mercury exposure through inhalation. It is crucial to promptly clean up any mercury spills to minimize this risk.

The spill kit contains a 200g sachet of mercury encapsulating powder that solidifies the spilled mercury into a solid mass when mixed with water. A plastic scoop and pan are provided to safely lift and transfer the solidified mass into disposal bags. Additionally, the mercury spill kit includes essential safety gear such as safety gloves and goggles to ensure the protection of responders.

The spill kit is accompanied by a clear label and spill kit operating instructions, providing clear guidance on its use. It is conveniently supplied in a single-use pouch for easy access and disposal after use.
