Dirt, debris, and rainwater can quickly accumulate in the bund’s sump, reducing its capacity to contain leaks, drips, and spills from the drums. Using a cover helps prevent these substances from entering the sump, reducing the risk of overflow

Why is this important?

If your bund sump fills with rainwater or other debris, and one of your containers leaks, the sump’s capacity to handle spills is significantly reduced. To ensure compliance, it’s widely recommended that a bund’s sump capacity be at least 110% of the volume of the largest container stored on it.
