Description
Use an oil filter bag (bund discharge filter) to capture oil from discharged water when emptying an IBC spill pallet bund.
When draining rainwater from oil and fuel storage bunds (in accordance with AS1940:2004), relying solely on visual inspection may not be enough to ensure the hydrocarbon concentration in the water stays within discharge limit requirements.
- Use the bund discharge filter to capture up to 30 litres of oil/fuel and other hydrocarbons from the spill containment area when draining rainwater from the bund.
- Lightweight, aluminium, internal flow distributor with 50mm female camlock adaptor for quick connection and release.
- Bund discharge filter has a tough geo-synthetic outer skin and packed with super absorbent white polypropylene. Our white absorbents repel water (hydrophobic) and will absorb up to 20 times their own weight in oil, fuels and other hydrocarbons.
- Replacement oil filter bags can be ordered individually.
- Bund discharge filters are ideal for use with our single and double IBC spill containment pallet bunds.

NOTES:
- The oil filter bag may be negatively impacted by the presence of degreaser in the discharged water. In such cases, the filter may become water-absorbent due to the presence of degreasers or detergents.
- The absorbent capacity will vary depending on factors such as liquid viscosity, specific gravity, and temperature. Absorbents retain the characteristics of the liquid they absorb. Appropriate PPE should always be worn, and used absorbents should be disposed of via incineration or through approved landfill methods, in compliance with local regulations.
- When installing an OFB bund discharge filter for the first time, an adaptor kit (OFB-AK) is required. The kit includes: 1x 50mm full flow ball valve, 1x 50mm x 40mm screwed adaptor, and 1x 50mm camlock male x male adaptor.
